A no-fee card that turbocharges Rakuten Cash Back
The Rakuten American Express Card has no annual fee and a welcome offer of $100 after $1,000 in purchases in the first 90 days.
Its main draw is an extra 4% Cash Back on purchases made through Rakuten, on top of the store's own rate, up to $10,000 a year. It also earns 10% on Rakuten Dining, 2% at supermarkets and restaurants, and 1% everywhere else.
