IHG Credit Cards Revamped: New $350 Premier Select and Higher Fees

Chase and IHG relaunched their full lineup of IHG credit cards on October 1, 2026. The headline is a new card, the IHG One Rewards Premier Select Credit Card, with a $350 annual fee, automatic Platinum Elite status, 20 Elite Night Credits every year and a launch offer of 200,000 bonus points after $5,000 in purchases in the first 3 months.
The rest of the family changes too. The IHG One Rewards Premier Credit Card now costs $150 a year instead of $99 and comes with Gold Elite status instead of Platinum. The IHG One Rewards Business Credit Card goes from $99 to $200. The no-annual-fee IHG One Rewards Credit Card, previously sold as the Traveler, keeps its $0 fee but loses the automatic fourth night free on award stays.
All four cards earn IHG One Rewards points and carry no foreign transaction fees. Each one now has a limited-time launch bonus.
| Card | Annual fee | Launch bonus | Required spend (3 months) | Automatic status | Anniversary night cap | Elite Night Credits per year |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Premier Select (new) | $350 | 200,000 points | $5,000 | Platinum Elite | 60,000 points | 20 |
| Premier | $150 (was $99) | 180,000 points | $3,000 | Gold Elite (was Platinum) | 50,000 points (was 40,000) | 15 |
| Business | $200 (was $99) | 190,000 points | $5,000 | Platinum Elite | 50,000 points (was 40,000) | 15 |
| IHG One Rewards (no fee) | $0 | 125,000 points | $2,000 | Silver Elite | None | 5 |
The Premier Select sits at the top of the range. Its value rests on hotel perks rather than everyday earning:
The card also includes up to $50 a year in United TravelBank cash, the Global Entry, TSA PreCheck or NEXUS credit of up to $120 every 4 years, and the fourth reward night free on award stays of four nights or more.
The Premier is the card most existing IHG fans hold, and it takes the biggest hit. The annual fee rises from $99 to $150, and automatic status drops from Platinum Elite to Gold Elite. You can still reach Platinum by spending $15,000 in a calendar year, and Diamond by spending $40,000.
In exchange, the Anniversary Free Night cap rises from 40,000 to 50,000 points. The card adds a $25 food and beverage voucher each quarter (up to $100 a year), a $100 airline credit after $250 in direct airline purchases each calendar year through December 31, 2027, and 15 Elite Night Credits at the start of each calendar year. Earning moves to 10 points per $1 at IHG hotels and 5 points per $1 on dining, groceries, gas stations, car rentals and flights booked directly with the airline. Everything else earns 3 points per $1.
The Business card keeps automatic Platinum Elite status, and its Anniversary Free Night cap also rises from 40,000 to 50,000 points. New perks include a $25 quarterly food and beverage voucher, a $100 annual airline credit and up to $100 a year in Expensify credits. It earns 10 points per $1 at IHG hotels and 5 points per $1 on dining, gas stations, car rentals, flights booked directly and social media and search engine advertising.
The no-fee card earns 5 points per $1 at IHG hotels, 3 points per $1 on dining, groceries and gas stations, and 2 points per $1 elsewhere. It now gets 5 Elite Night Credits each year. Starting in 2027, you need to spend $5,000 on it in a calendar year to unlock the fourth reward night free, and $15,000 to earn Gold Elite status.
The annual Elite Night Credits are the real novelty. They count toward IHG's Milestone Rewards, the night-based rewards that include confirmable suite upgrades and annual club lounge access. The three cards with an annual fee also add 2 Elite Night Credits for every $5,000 you spend. Our guide to IHG elite status explains each tier and what it gets you.
All four cards also save you 30% when you buy IHG points with the card. Compare that rate with the current points sales before you buy.
At our valuation of 0.6 cent per IHG point, the 200,000-point Premier Select bonus is worth about $1,200 and the 180,000-point Premier bonus about $1,080. For a side-by-side look at the older version of each card, see our comparison of IHG credit cards.
Decide by how many nights you spend at IHG hotels. If you stay often, the Premier Select bonus and its 20 annual Elite Night Credits justify a look before the launch offers end. If you already hold the Premier, check with Chase which changes apply to your account before your next renewal, and weigh Gold status against the new credits.
