The Sapphire Reserve for Business welcome bonus now sits at 200,000 Ultimate Rewards points, the highest offer Chase has put on its premium business card. New cardmembers earn the full amount after spending $30,000 on purchases in the first six months from account opening. That is a demanding target, but the payoff is the largest bonus currently available on any Chase card.
Below we break down what those points are worth, which credits help offset the $795 annual fee, and whether the spending requirement makes sense for your business. What 200,000 Ultimate Rewards points are worth
The value of 200,000 Ultimate Rewards points depends entirely on how you use them. Here is the range.
- Cash back: $2,000, at one cent per point.
- Points Boost bookings: Up to $4,000, when select flights and hotels price out at two cents per point.
- Airline and hotel partners: Often more than $4,000 on premium cabin flights and luxury hotel stays, though the outcome depends on award space.
Transfer partners almost always beat portal bookings. Chase points move at a 1:1 ratio to 14 airline and hotel programs, and our guide to all 14 Chase Ultimate Rewards transfer partners covers which ones pay off most often. Before you move points anywhere, check our list of current credit card transfer bonuses to see if a promotion stretches them further.
Credits that offset the $795 annual fee
The annual fee is steep, so the credits matter. Three of them are worth planning around from the day the card arrives.
- $300 annual travel credit: Applies automatically to travel purchases, with no category games to play.
- Up to $500 in The Edit credits: For qualifying stays at the luxury hotels Chase curates through its booking platform.
- Up to $120 in Lyft credits: Applied in the app across the year.
Add those together and the credits reach $920, which is more than the fee itself. The catch is familiar: the hotel and rideshare credits only count if you were going to spend that money anyway. Treat the $300 travel credit as guaranteed and everything else as conditional.

Who should apply, and who should wait
This card suits an owner with real, predictable business spending and a travel habit to match. If you already route $5,000 a month through a business card, you are effectively being handed 200,000 points for spending you cannot avoid.
Wait if your monthly volume is closer to $1,000 or $2,000. Stretching to hit $30,000 by paying fees, buying gift cards or pulling forward purchases you do not need almost always costs more than the points are worth. Chase also applies its usual approval standards, so review our guide to the Chase 5/24 rule before you send in an application.
Bottom Line
At 200,000 points, the Sapphire Reserve for Business welcome bonus is the biggest offer Chase has run on this card. The points alone are worth roughly $4,000 when booked through Points Boost, and transfers to airline and hotel partners can push that higher.
The decision comes down to one number. If $30,000 in six months is normal business spending for you, this is one of the strongest card offers on the market right now. If it is a stretch, skip it and wait for a bonus with terms you can actually meet. Chase has not announced an end date, so the offer could be pulled without notice.

Sapphire Reserve for Business welcome bonus – Frequently Asked Questions
How much do I need to spend for the 200,000-point bonus?
You need $30,000 in purchases within the first six months from account opening. That averages $5,000 a month. The bonus posts after the full requirement is met, not in stages.
What is the 200,000-point bonus actually worth?
Around $2,000 as straight cash back, and up to $4,000 on select flights and hotels booked through Points Boost at two cents per point. Transfers to airline and hotel partners can beat both figures, but only when award space lines up with your dates.
How long will this offer last?
Chase has not published an end date. Offers at this level rarely stay up for long, so apply while it is live if the card fits your plans. Terms can change without notice.
Does this card count toward Chase 5/24?
Chase business cards generally do not add to your 5/24 count once approved, but Chase still checks that count when it reviews your application. If you have opened five or more personal cards across all banks in the past 24 months, approval is unlikely.
Do the credits cover the $795 annual fee?
On paper, yes. The $300 travel credit, up to $500 in The Edit credits and up to $120 in Lyft credits total $920. In practice only the travel credit is easy to use in full, so count the rest as a bonus rather than a guarantee.
Can I get this bonus if I already have the personal Sapphire Reserve?
Yes. The business card is a separate product with its own welcome offer, so holding or having held the personal Sapphire Reserve does not rule you out. You will still need to qualify for a business card in the first place.
