JetBlue TrueBlue 2027: Free BlueFirst Upgrades for All Mosaic Members

JetBlue TrueBlue is getting its biggest elite overhaul in years on February 1, 2027. Every Mosaic member, from Mosaic 1 to Mosaic 4, becomes eligible for complimentary, space-available upgrades to BlueFirst, JetBlue's new domestic first-class cabin, and can bring one companion on the same reservation along for the upgrade. The full list of changes sits on JetBlue's TrueBlue 2027 overview page.
The JetBlue TrueBlue 2027 changes also rework Perks You Pick, rename Move to Mint certificates and add new perks for JetBlue Premier Cardmembers who reach Mosaic 3 or Mosaic 4, including a companion credit worth up to $1,500. Here is what changes, who benefits and what to do before January 31, 2027.
Mosaic 1, 2, 3 and 4 members are added to the BlueFirst upgrade list automatically at check-in, along with up to one companion on the same reservation. Upgrades start clearing 60 minutes before departure when a BlueFirst seat is open. No points, cash or certificates are needed.
The upgrades do not switch on with the rest of the program on February 1, 2027. They begin with the arrival of JetBlue's first BlueFirst-equipped aircraft, and they only apply on JetBlue-operated flights that have a BlueFirst cabin.
A reservation with three or more travelers is not considered. The Mosaic member and one companion need to sit on a separate reservation before check-in, and both are upgraded together only when two BlueFirst seats are open.
The upgrade list is ranked Mosaic 4 first, then Mosaic 3, Mosaic 2, Mosaic 1, and finally JetBlue Premier Cardmembers without Mosaic status. Inside each group, priority goes to travelers who paid with any JetBlue credit card, then to EvenMore fares, then to Tiles earned in the current program year.
Partner status does not count: United MileagePlus Premier members do not qualify for space-available upgrades on JetBlue.
Holders of the JetBlue Premier Card, including authorized users, qualify for BlueFirst upgrades even without Mosaic status, as long as they pay the base fare with the Premier Card. The other JetBlue credit cards, such as the JetBlue Plus Card, do not create eligibility on their own, but they move an existing Mosaic member up the list.
Premier Cardmembers also get card-exclusive options on the Mosaic Perks You Pick menus, plus a higher earn rate at the top two tiers:
The companion credit only covers the companion's base fare. Taxes, fees and fare differences stay with the Cardmember.
Move to Mint certificates are now called Premium Upgrade Certificates, and they confirm an upgrade to either Mint or BlueFirst, subject to availability. Starting February 1, 2027, Mosaic 2 members can choose one certificate as a Perks You Pick option. Mosaic 3 and Mosaic 4 members keep receiving certificates as part of their Mosaic Signature Perks, and Mosaic 4 members earn an extra certificate for every 100 additional Tiles.
Certificates cannot be used on Main Base or EvenMore Base fares.
Perks You Pick stops being one-and-done in 2027. At each eligible milestone, members can pick any perk on that milestone's menu, including one they already chose before. Selections must be made within 60 days of reaching the milestone, or they expire.
Before Mosaic, the menu at 10, 20, 30 and 40 Tiles now offers a 1,000-point bonus, a new 2-Tile bonus and three day-of-travel passes (Early Boarding, Alcoholic Drink, Priority Security). Those passes now work for one flight only: picking them again at the next milestone is the way to get another one.
At Mosaic level, each tier has its own menu. Points bonuses grow with status, and the 2027 menu adds one BlueHouse Pass at every Mosaic level.
| Perk | Mosaic 1 (50 Tiles) | Mosaic 2 (100 Tiles) | Mosaic 3 (150 Tiles) | Mosaic 4 (250 Tiles) |

| Points bonus | 10,000 | 10,000 | 20,000 | 30,000 |

| Premier Card: companion statement credit (primary Cardmember) | No | No | Up to $500 | Up to $1,500 |
The core Mosaic Signature Perks stay largely the same. The pet fee waiver moves out of Perks You Pick and becomes a Signature Perk from Mosaic 2 upward, and the 5X dining and grocery earn described above applies to Premier Cardmembers at Mosaic 3 and Mosaic 4.
Our JetBlue Mosaic status guide covers how Tiles are earned and what each tier includes today. The BlueHouse Passes on the new Mosaic menus are good for a visit to a JetBlue lounge, such as the BlueHouse lounge in Boston.
If you hold Mosaic status or expect to reach it in 2027, book Main or EvenMore fares rather than Base fares on BlueFirst routes: Base fares are excluded from both free upgrades and Premium Upgrade Certificates. If you want Mint Suite Priority, the FoundersCard membership or IHG status, select and use them through January 31, 2027.
Points earners can still feed the account from flexible currencies, as Bilt now transfers to JetBlue TrueBlue at 1:1. Compare your options in our credit card guide, and get the next program change in your inbox through the Milesopedia newsletter.
