New York City-based JetBlue Airways has changed its Mosaic elite status program over the years, moving from a single elite tier to four. Each tier offers varying benefits, including Move to Mint certificates for upgrades, complimentary Even More Space seat selection, and free checked bags on all flights. Here’s everything you need to know about JetBlue Mosaic elite status.
JetBlue Mosaic is the airline’s elite status program, rewarding its most frequent flyers with extra benefits. There are four tiers — Mosaic 1, 2, 3, and 4 — which provide varying levels of benefits. Elite status is earned with Tiles, which members earn when flying with JetBlue, spending on its cobranded credit card, and booking travel with Paisly by JetBlue or JetBlue Vacations.
You must earn a set amount of Tiles over a calendar year to qualify for Mosaic elite status. Once status is earned, you’ll have it through the rest of the current calendar year and the entirety of the next. Your Tiles balance will reset at the end of every year.
As mentioned, there are four Mosaic tiers. You can find their benefits below.
Here’s how many tiles you’ll need to earn JetBlue Mosaic elite status tiers.
You can earn extra benefits as you earn Tiles, both before and after you qualify for Mosaic status. These perks range from a pet fee waiver to IHG One Rewards Platinum status, and you start earning them after you hit 10 Tiles.
For every 10 Tiles you earn before reaching Mosaic status, you can pick one of the following:
Further, you can pick one of the following every time you hit a new Mosaic tier:
You have three main ways to earn Tiles — here’s an overview.
You earn 1 Tile per $100 spent on JetBlue flights before taxes and fees.
Earn 1 tile per $1,000 spent on any JetBlue credit card.
You earn 1 Tile per $100 spent on Paisly by JetBlue bookings. You can book things like hotels and rental cars through this portal.
You earn 1 Tile per $100 spent on JetBlue Vacations bookings. You can use this platform to book vacation packages that include JetBlue flights, hotels, rental cars, airport transfers, and select activities.
JetBlue still has one of the simplest elite status programs out there. Tiles are directly tied to how much you spend on flights, and its four elite tiers have relatively basic benefits. Along the way to status, you can earn “Perks You Pick” which you can enjoy while you work towards elite status.
