Homes & Villas by Marriott just rolled out a new promotion that pays Marriott Bonvoy members for booking short-term rentals. Stay two or more consecutive nights at a participating home, cabin, or villa, and you can earn 2,000 bonus points per night, up to 10,000 points per stay.
The booking window is short. You need to reserve your stay between August 21 and October 1, 2026, though the trip itself can happen anytime through December 31, 2026. If a home rental is already on your travel list, this is a good week to lock in the dates.
You don’t need a promo code to take part. Log into your Marriott Bonvoy account, book a qualifying rental through the Homes & Villas by Marriott Bonvoy website during the booking window, and complete a stay of at least two consecutive nights with a minimum spend of $1,500 (or the foreign currency equivalent). Marriott Bonvoy credits the bonus points to your account after checkout, on top of the points you already earn from the stay itself.
The 10,000-point cap means the bonus tops out at a five-night stay. Longer trips still earn base points on every additional night, just not the extra 2,000-point bonus past night five. Base earning on Homes & Villas stays runs lower than a standard hotel stay, so treat the bonus as the main draw here, not the base rate.
This is not the first time Homes & Villas has run a per-night bonus like this one. An earlier version in February 2026 offered a similar structure with a 10,000-point cap, so expect this type of promotion to reappear a few times a year.
Paying with a co-branded card adds another layer of points on top of the promotion. The Marriott Bonvoy Boundless Credit Card earns bonus points per dollar on Marriott purchases, including Homes & Villas bookings, so the rental spend counts twice: once for the promotion, once for your card’s everyday rewards rate.
Marriott Bonvoy has been tightening its award chart all year. The program raised award pricing without notice earlier in 2026, so a promotion that hands out easy bonus points helps offset that cost. If you’re building a points balance toward a future redemption, a short-term rental stay is a simple way to add points without paying an inflated hotel rate.
If you already plan to book a Homes & Villas by Marriott rental this fall or winter, book it between August 21 and October 1, 2026, to catch the extra 2,000 points per night. Pair the stay with a Marriott Bonvoy card and check the Marriott Bonvoy program page for the latest award chart before you redeem.
